Exciting new writing club!
I am a Teaching Assistant at Pitmaston Primary School. I am also a scriptwriter (MPhil - University of Birmingham) and am passionate about turning stories into scripts for stage, screen and radio. I am thrilled to be offering scriptwriting courses for primary school children in Years 4, 5 and 6.

We will cover character development, plot, dialogue, subtext and we will learn the difference between writing for stage, screen and radio. We will play games to aid understanding and we will workshop each other's script ideas.

At our final session, we would love to invite grownups to come and watch a rehearsed read of each child's script. This will be a celebration of the work with minimal props and sound effects - no need for costumes or to learn lines! Each child will be presented with a bound copy of their work along with a certificate.
